It will be your choice to either depart immediately or spend the night at the Palermo marina, tasting refined Sicilian cuisine and fine wines here and take in the view over the sparkling sea.

Day 2: San Vito Lo Capo 34 miles, approx. 5h Departure in the morning going in the direction of San Vito Lo Capo. Sail northwest along the gulf to Mondello, half way between Capo Gallo and Monte Pellegrino. There is a colorful small port and you can see the fishermen bringing back the day’s catch. It will be possible to make a brief stop in the Bay of Castellamare del Golfo, and to go for a swim in the Tonnara of Scopello. After sailing along the Riserva Zingaro, we will reach San Vito Lo Capo in late afternoon. It will be your choice to either dock at the marina or lay anchor in a roadstead. A must is to taste the famous Gelato caldo and the couscous.

Day 3: Favignana 24miles, approx. 4h Departure for Favignana is in the morning. We will then pass near the Tonnara of Bonagia and the Cliff of the Asinelli. The Greeks called it Aegusa. This island looks almost like a butterfly that has come to rest on the Mediterranean waters. It still holds the ancient secrets of terrible battles fought in Cala Rossa in 241B.C. The Mattanza is the traditional tuna fishing technique Legend has it, if you listen to the sounds on the sea it is possible to hear the songs and shouts of the fishermen during the Mattanza. After watching the sun go down from Punta Sottile, we will dock in the harbor. It is nice to take a walk in the center of town, eat out at one of the small restaurants along the main street and have a chance to listen to live music coming from the festivals that are held very often during the year. Places to see are the Florio Palace and Cala Rossa which is the symbol of the island. Things to taste – Busiati, traditional pasta that gets its shape from the nitting irons that are used to make them, seasoned with local herbs.

Day 4: Marettimo 11miles approx. 2h In the morning we will head for Marettimo, an unusual island with irresistible appeal. The island is green and rocky, full of marine grottoes and mineral spring. It would be best to sail around the island completely to see all its natural beauty. The National Marine Preserve occupies 60% of the coastal area almost the entire west side of the island. It is possible to stop in the many coves in the areas where sailing is permitted by park regulations. Docking is scheduled for the early afternoon in one of the 2 harbors that are located on opposite sides of the same town. One is Scalo Nuovo and the other is Scalo Vecchio. The wind will determine which harbor we dock at. You will be greeted by white square houses and baby-blue fishing boats berthed at the wharf. The most common tour of the island begins at the harbor and goes north toward the castle and the many grottoes. The best places to go scuba diving. The western side of the island is incredible in its resemblance to the Dolomites. Here we suggest you don’t miss out on the opportunity to see all this.

Western Sicily includes some of the best fishy areas of Italy and of the whole Mediterranean sea. The Egadi Islands at 7 km away from Trapani, western Sicily coast, are Europe's largest sea reserve, and many species live untouched in these waters, letting the fish population grow each year in a unspoiled and protected environment. The Egadi Islands are also one of the most important locations for the tuna fish reproduction.
Favignana in fact has been the queen of "mattanza", the ancient rite of tuna fishing, until the sea reserve was instituted. Our Sport Fishing Charter, authorized by the reserve, regardless of your experience level, will let you fish on the best offshore banks of the Sicily and Mediterranean Sea. All the professional fishing techniques will be explained on board before and during every excursion. The charter's captain, thanks to his large experience, will lead you in an exciting chase in blue waters, letting you live an unique adventure in harness with a still unsploit nature.
Our Fishing tour counts several stages, amongst which: the Skerki bank, a heaven of fishes and shellfishes at several deeps from 200 meters to the 30 cm of the Keith Rock, the Talbot bank, 36 miles away from the Island of Favignana, the Pantelleria Bank, 20 miles away from the namesake island. During the Fishing Charter we often come across dolphins, swordfishes, sea turtles and all the banks we visit are full of big groupers, greater amberjacks, sea breams, bass and many other Mediterranean species. This is an absolutely unique experience which will let you feel the emotion of capturing the fish of your dreams, with the professional equipments and all the professional fishing techniques at your disposal, both on the banks and on the shoals. The Fishing tours is the best choice for both fishing lovers and for those who look for a special and adventurous holiday. This is without doubt one of the most exciting tours that Sicily may offer.
